I am a multi-talented fashion industry professional with equal parts writing and editing chops; a digital expert who can achieve tangible results; a creative leader who can conceptualize and deliver; an equal opportunity lover of high and low culture. I am still not over the nineties.

Hi! I’m Randi and I’m a writer, editor and digital freak based in Toronto. On the editorial side, I cover a wide variety of topics, including fashion, art, pop culture and lifestyle—sometimes self deprecatingly, other times seriously. Brand side, I lead content strategy and social media direction, crafting meaningful narratives across omnichannel platforms. I currently do this full time for Hudsons’s Bay Company.

I am the founder of Capsule98.com, a new website dedicated to the formative objects, places and experiences that shape who we are. It’s all nostalgia, all the time, and the latest iteration of my Instagram and Podcast of the same name, which all began when I found a time capsule I’d made at the age of 13 in 1998.

I wrote Toronto Makes, a book that tells the stories of 50+ of the city's finest makers, from ceramicists to artisanal chocolatiers, through written word and photography (Sept 2019, Figure 1 Publishing).

My work can be seen in publications such as ELLE, The Globe and Mail, The Cut, Buzzfeed, The Kit, Canadian Art, Vogue.com, The Coveteur, S/ Magazine and Toronto Life. I have also worked with brands such as Chanel, Aldo, Holt Renfrew, Starbucks and 48North in a consulting, strategy and copywriting capacity.

Previously, I was the Executive Digital Editor at FASHION Magazine, where I led both print and digital teams through an integrated editorial strategy. In my five years at the magazine, I travelled to fancy locales in pursuit of celebrity and designer interviews, squashed social media records and managed to win four consecutive awards for best website at the P&G Fashion and Beauty Awards. Oh, and I covered fashion week too, which is always less glamorous than you think.
